The TUDOR Royal provides outstanding technical performance at an affordable price point. The collection offers a wide range of dial, bezel and case options, including two new dial colours released at Watches and Wonders this year. Inspired by the sports-luxury style of the ‘70s, the versatile aesthetic looks just as good with formal wear as with a T-shirt and jeans, making this an ideal watch for all occasions.
Available in four sizes, the TUDOR Royal is presented in either steel or steel and gold. The largest 41mm diameter model displays the day written out at 12 o’clock along with the date at 3 o’clock. The 38mm, 34mm and 28mm diameter models only display the date. The distinctive notched bezel and integrated bracelet pay tribute to the models which inspired this collection, lending retro chic to the design.
The bracelet creates a single uninterrupted line with the case, narrowing significantly at the back to maximise comfort. It is composed of five links, highlighted by different finishes. The wider links are satin-brushed, the narrower links polished. On the S&G model the slimmer links are presented in gold. The construction is fluid and supple, ensuring a perfect fit.
Sunray-finished dials create depth and motion as the light catches them. The TUDOR Royal offers a choice of blue, black, silver, Champagne-colour, chocolate brown or salmon sunray dials on all sizes. The collection is completed by a Mother-of-Pearl dial for the smallest size, finished with a diamond-set bezel. This range demonstrates the versatility of the TUDOR Royal design, from sporty black to classic blue, through warm vintage tones, to the luxury of diamond-set Mother-of-Pearl.
Roman numerals add a traditional touch to the TUDOR Royal dials, applied in either gold or steel. Alternatively, there is the option to replace eight of the indices with diamonds. Either choice balances formal style with practicality.
All of this aesthetic and technical mastery is especially impressive at this price point. In order to provide the best value possible without compromising on their engineering standards, TUDOR has fitted these watches with supplied movements. These are self-winding movements, each with a 38-hour power reserve, offering reliability and robustness to complement the quality of the cases.
The TUDOR Royal is an excellent place to look for your first luxury watch. The sports-chic aesthetic complements formal or casual wear, adding vintage flair to any occasion. Crafted from high-end materials, with the robust quality for which TUDOR is known, these watches are perfect for everyday wear. With such a wide range of options available, the TUDOR Royal has something to offer any watch enthusiast – whether as a first foray into luxury watches, or an addition to an established collection.
