The TUDOR Royal collection was introduced in 2020 and incorporates both a very contemporary yet classic range of timepieces. Beautiful dials with an exquisite finish perfectly complement the metal sculpture of the watch exterior.
The stainless steel case is mounted on an integrated “five-link” bracelet to ensure an uninterrupted line, a feature seen on TUDOR watches from as early as 1973, where it was present on models like the TUDOR Prince Oysterdate, reference 9121. Brought to the modern age, the bracelet is characterised by three wide links with a satin finish set between two slimmer polished elements. Its smooth surfaces and edges showcase the attention to detail paid by TUDOR to ensure comfortable wear.
Another detail, which adds to the final sporty-chic look of the TUDOR Royal collection, is the unique notched bezel, with an alternating surface polish and cut grooves. Available in black, silver, champagne-colour or blue, the sunray motif applied to the dials of the TUDOR Royal create an elegant effect when reflecting the light. They offer the perfect contrast to either the Roman numeral applique hour markers or the diamond hour markers, while not affecting the legibility of the timepiece. For a softer alternative, the mother-of-pearl dial is set with colourless diamond hour markers and creates an elegant and sophisticated finish to this exceptional wristwatch.
“Royal” is a name first used by TUDOR in the 1950s to emphasize the superior quality of its watches. With this heritage in mind, the TUDOR Royal offers a range of automatic sport-chic watches with integrated bracelets that are as affordable as they are uncompromising. The Royal comes in stainless steel or alternatively, a combination of stainless steel and yellow gold and is offered in 4 sizes with 14 possible dial options, making the selection a very personal process.
The reference M28600-0006, priced at £2,200 seen here, is part of the TUDOR Royal collection which features a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre T603, with an approximate 38-hour power-reserve, waterproofness to 100 metres (330ft) and is produced in this instance with a stainless steel case, 41mm in diameter. This model’s contrasting blue sunray-finish dial is set with colourless diamonds and roman numerals and the very useful date aperture at 3 o’clock, doubled with the day aperture at 12 o’clock.
As with all TUDOR watches, the TUDOR Royal is backed with the industry-leading, five-year TUDOR International Guarantee, confirming that the watch has undergone extensive testing for chronometric precision, waterproofness and power reserve.
