The Patek Philippe Calatrava for Ladies: Classic Elegance

The next reference, 4997/200G-001 also features a diamond-set bezel. The deep blue dial is framed by 76 round-cut, internally flawless Top Wesselton diamonds. But the dial itself is the star of this model. Concentric waves spread beneath layers of midnight blue lacquer, creating subtle depth and mystery. The pattern appears to shift and move as the light catches it. Pair with blue accessories and step out into the sunshine to bring the dial to life.

The last watch we’ll explore here is inspired by expressive movement from another discipline; that of a gymnast’s ribbon as it twirls and dances around the performer. The Patek Philippe Diamond Ribbon Joaillerie is now available in a white gold design with a slightly larger diameter, reference 4978/400G-001. The larger dial gives more space to the spiral of diamonds which begins around the edge of the case and winds in towards the hands. Each gem must be exactly the right size and set in exactly the right position to maintain the effect. The dial is completed with blued gold numerals and hands, sure to be appreciated by the wearer looking for that traditional touch.
