The team at Prestons Wilmslow cannot wait to share the excitement with you and allow our experienced and knowledgeable staff to guide you through the latest release from Patek Philippe. Below, our Managing Director, discusses what an incredible fair it has been.
‘[For Patek Philippe] 2014 heralded the 175th anniversary of Geneva’s last family owned haute horology watch company which sets its’ own standards with the Geneva seal and is reliant on no external suppliers. 2015 was the hugely successful Watch Art Grand Exhibition at the Satcchi Gallery in London and so you could be forgiven for thinking that 2016 would be a time for reflection and perhaps a quieter year for the brand.
Far from it.
For the first time since the 1940’s, Patek Philippe have created a world time Chronograph which is visually stunning and with two major and very practical complications which make it a very usable watch. They have also created new dials for the world time and beautiful new dials for the annual calendars and perpetual calendars using the classic Breguet numerals that transform the appearance of the watch.
And so Patek Philippe continue to enjoy a following that is unrivalled in the watch industry and for all the right reasons, aesthetically beautiful, technical timepieces that hold their value like no other.’
